Noodles’ Slurpily good stir-fry
Oooohhhh my these slurpily delicious Noodles are wonderful for a healthy tasty dinner!! Will you try them?
Ingredients
1 small bag of cooked prawns
2 nests of noodles
1 carrot
1 red pepper
Mixed bag of baby sweetcorn and mange tout
a drizzle of olive oil
1 orange
1 clove of garlic
2 teaspoons of light honey
1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
Cooking Method
Step 1
Make sure that you’ve washed your hands really well. Then get all your ingredients ready.
Step 2
Take the skin off your garlic clove. Then put the clove into a garlic press and squeeeeeze, until the garlic is crushed. Pop it into a small bowl.
Step 3
Now, for the sauce. Cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice into the same bowl as the garlic. Add the dark soy sauce and honey, then give it all a stir.
Step 4
Carefully chop the baby sweetcorn and mange tout into small pieces. Next, use a potato peeler to make the carrot ribbons, but watch your fingers!
Step 5
Take a red pepper and chop the top off, then the sides. Cut into thin strips and then chop the strips into smaller pieces.
Step 6
Ask a grown-up to help you boil some water in a pan on the hob. Once it’s gently bubbling, add the noodles, cook for a couple of minutes, then drain off the hot water. Ask a grown-up to help you with this.
Step 7
In a large frying pan or wok, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Add in all your yummy vegetables and cook through for 1-2 minutes. Then add in the prawns and continue cooking for a minute.
Step 8
Tip your cooked noodles into the wok or frying pan! Then, add in the sauce. Give it all a good stir and cook for a few minutes. This scrumptious stir fry with oooodles of noodles, makes a perfect balanced meal with lots and lots of flavour!
