Hello lovely humans, I’m Noodles the bear and I loooooooove to cook. Ooohhhh what a story I have to tell you, how I fell into another world and how this inspired me to became a cook. My mission is to inspire children and families to looooooove their bodies, to understand their bodies and to learn how to be a really good cook to help to keep you healthy and happy. Hope you enjoy reading my story and that it inspires you too!
I was eating some blackberries, when suddenly this great big bird scooped me up and flew off with me! I was very scared. I struggled and struggled, then all of a sudden the big bird just dropped me! Ouch! I landed in some plants and I was covered in bruises.
It was getting really dark and cold and I found this little cave to sleep in. I felt so scared and sad. I didn’t know where I was. I was sooooo hungry and I could my tummy rumbling. The only things I could find to eat were worms. I tried one and they were horrible. Yucky! They taste icky and are full of oozy stuff!
All of a sudden… I heard someone coming! I peeked out of the cave and a lovely lady smiled at me. She gently scooped me up and hugged me. I felt all warm and safe. She took me into her house to warm me up.
Then she gave me a cup of tea and some hot buttered toast. I had never had toast before. The toast was crunchy and the butter was so creamy. The whole mouthful was delicious. She asked me what had happened and listened to my story, as I nibbled on my toast. Do you like toast?
This lovely lady is called Mel. She loooooooved teaching and was a primary school teacher and teacher adviser. Oh my goodness me, she has lots of wonderful stories about the children she taught. Mel asked me if I would like to live with her and her dogs. I said “Yes please, I would looooove to. Thank you so much!” straight away. Mel loooooooves to cook and said that she would also teach me how to cook. I looooooove living with Mel. She gives me lots of love, keeps me safe and we have lots of fun and adventures.
I loooooooove cuddling up to my furry friends and reading recipe books. Looking for ideas for meals to cook for my friends and family.
I have some really happy times, snuggling with all of my furry friends. Do you have any pets? If so, I hope you are kind to them.
I made a huuuuge plate of meatballs and spaghetti! Yummy! I discovered a loooooooove of cooking for my family and friends. Human food is soooooooo delicious, and sometimes I would eat far too much and unfortunately I gave myself a tummy ache. So, I learned not to do that again.
I’d not had human food before so, I was trying all these different foods and made myself quite poorly.
I didn’t want to feel poorly like that again so, I decided to learn all about human food. I wanted to help my human friends and family to be healthy and happy. Mel helped me to research all the foods and diets and we learned that eating all foods in balance and moderation is the key. Food is to be enjoyed; it gives us energy and all the right nutrients to heal the body and be healthier and happier.
One of my favourite things to do, is to spend time with my gorgeous friends and cook something delicious to share. This makes me sooooooooo happy and makes my heart full of love.
I was so inspired by all the wonderful ingredients that you humans have on offer (and I loooooooove trying different ingredients) that I decided to follow my dream to become a chef. I hope to inspire children and families to really look after their bodies and to eat healthily.
