Noodles’ Dippy Eggs
I do love dippy eggs and buttery toastie fingers!
Ingredients
Recipe for 2 people
2 large eggs
2 slices of wholemeal bread
Little knob of butter
Cooking Method
Step 1
Before you start to cook, make sure that you’ve washed your hands really well. Then get the ingredients ready.
Step 2
Ask a grown-up to boil some water in a pan. (Always be careful around anything hot.) Soon you’ll see little bubbles in the water. When this happens, your water is ready for the eggs.
Step 3
Carefully, put your egg on to a big spoon and gently lower it into the water. Do the same with the other egg.
Step 4
Set your timer for 5-6 minutes - the right time for a perfectly delicious soft-boiled egg.
Step 5
Whilst your eggs are cooking, toast your bread. Pop 2 slices of bread into the toaster. When they’re ready, spread a little butter on and cut each slice into strips - these are your toastie fingers.
Step 6
When your timer goes off, ask a grown-up to help you carefully take the eggs out of the water and put them into egg holders.
Step 7
Now, for the fun bit. Gently bash the top of the egg with a little spoon to crack the shell. Then slide the spoon into the egg to take the top off.
Step 8
Your eggs are ready to eat and your toasties fingers will taste amazing when dipped into the scrumptious egg yolk. Hope you enjoy!
